About me
Anita’s focus is looking after the best interests of her clients.
Born and bought up in the north of England. She trained as a Registered Nurse at Winchester’s Royal Hampshire County Hospital. On graduating she followed friends to Australia where she has spent most of her career working in Intensive Care Units, the last few years in Neonatal Intensive Care.
During her twenties she travelled to many amazing countries such as Northern Greece where she initially worked as a ‘Nanny’ and helped out in a water sports business spending many hours learning to water ski and master the Greek language.
The most challenging and yet rewarding period of her life has been nurturing a family. Human and animal; one husband, three children and a menagerie of dogs, cats, chickens, horses and even mice at some time or other.
Anita is a hardworking, mature, well liked professional with a passion for real estate. Her effective communication and negotiation skills, aligned with her compassionate problem solving abilities are essential in helping her clients achieve their goals.
Anita’s love of Teralba and the surrounding area is evident. You will see her on her early morning walks admiring the natural beauty of Cockle Creek, the wetland areas and enjoying the gorgeous mix of historical and new homes.

We previously had it listed with another agent who never gave us any feed back and would have to chase him a few days later after we had an open house to see what people had thought. Upon meeting Anita for the first time she was professional and friendly. Anita presented the property we were inspecting in a very professional manner, making sure the home was light filled, music playing and presented clean and tidy. The entire process was hassle free and she kept in touch with us throughout the whole process. After we moved in Anita contacted the previous owners for us to sort out a few small issues. FAIRY TALE ENDING Hi Anita, Here Tis! I would like to recommend Anita Merrington to anyone considering selling their property. Anita impressed me with her quiet confidence, professional demeanour and caring attitude, which are reassuring qualities to be shared when letting go of something that has been in the family for 27 years. My property was advertised for a week prior to its first open house inspection. on the day Anita arrived with her charming daughter Zoe to assist her, as well as flowers they had cut from their own garden to display. Anita allowed 30 minutes for the open house which turned into an hour as she was inundated with more than 30 prospective buyers who had lined up to discuss the property and negotiate prices. Negotiations via telephone continued into the next day when Anita advised me of a firm offer that exceeded our expectations. We were over the moon!
